Our Offerwall Currency Sale Case Study

The results from our five offerwall currency sales for one of our clients were very positive, with an ARPDAU increase of 38 - 67% when looking at the whole period when the promotions were active.

In-game preparations: In-game event started one hour earlier in order to make sure that the users received notifications about the sale in time. Notifications about the special offers were sent to the users once they’ve entered the game. There were four entry points:

  • Home screen
  • Out-of-currency pop-up
  • Home screen with the Piggy bank and 
  • The original one in the Shop.

It was clearly stated on all entry points that users can get double values of currency for free.

Effects: The engagement rate increased several times, and users completed at least 2x more offers, which led to higher revenue and ARPDAU. Revenue was higher even during the next few days after the currency sale has finished since the users needed a bit more time to complete some more difficult offers.
