GameBiz Consulting helps mobile game and app developers grow their business through ad monetization, user acquisition, publishing, business development, and advisory services.
We are a small team of people who genuinely care about games, the teams building them, and the business behind them. Our clients range from ambitious indie studios to established publishers, and our job is to help them make better decisions, grow revenue, and build healthier long-term businesses.
We are now looking for an experienced Ad Monetization Manager to join our ad monetization team and work directly on improving revenue across client portfolios.
About the role
This is a hands-on role for someone who understands mobile ad monetization and enjoys working with data, partners, and product teams.
You will work on real games and apps, analyze performance, identify revenue opportunities, and help turn those opportunities into clear actions. Some days will be about digging into eCPM, ARPDAU, fill rate, impressions per DAU, waterfalls, bidding, and ad placement performance. Other days will be about speaking with ad networks, preparing client recommendations, or working with internal teammates to test a new setup.
We are looking for someone who is curious, structured, and comfortable taking ownership. You do not need to know everything, but you should know how to investigate a problem, ask the right questions, and follow the data until there is a practical answer.
What you will do:
- Manage and optimize ad monetization setups across multiple mobile games and apps.
- Analyze key ad monetization metrics, including ARPDAU, eCPM, fill rate, impressions per DAU, show rate, retention impact, LTV, and revenue trends.
- Work with mediation platforms, ad networks, dashboards, and internal reports to understand what is happening and why.
- Build hypotheses for improving ad revenue, then test, measure, and document the results.
- Review ad formats, placements, frequency, pacing, and user experience to find the right balance between revenue and player experience.
- Support waterfall, bidding, and hybrid monetization setups depending on the product and client needs.
- Communicate with ad networks and mediation partners about performance, discrepancies, SDK updates, bugs, new opportunities, and commercial terms.
- Prepare clear recommendations and reports for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Work closely with product, analytics, user acquisition, and business development colleagues.
- Stay up to date with changes in the mobile advertising market and help the team turn those changes into useful insights for clients.
What kind of person will do well here
You will probably enjoy this role if you like solving practical business problems, not just creating reports.
We value people who are curious, honest, and reliable. Someone who notices when numbers look strange. Someone who can say “I don’t know yet, but I’ll find out.” Someone who understands that good monetization is not only about adding more ads, but about finding the setup that makes sense for the game, the players, and the business.
You should be comfortable working with clients and partners, but you do not need to be overly formal. Clear thinking, good preparation, and follow-through matter more.
Independent and team player.
